What we collect
Utah Hardscaping & Supply collects only what is needed to run accounts, listings, orders, UHSA job leads, and this atlas. We do not collect a card in the app. We do not use advertising identifiers or sell personal information.
Who we are
Utah Hardscaping LLC, doing business as Utah Hardscaping & Supply (“UH&S”), operates this atlas from Kearns, Salt Lake County, Utah. Yard: 5612 Hwy 111, Kearns, UT 84118. Sales: 385-888-7625. Accounts payable and receivable: 385-955-7625. These pages are also the public Privacy and Disclaimer URLs for the iPhone Home Screen app.
Accounts
Map use does not require an account. Consumer accounts are free and optional. If you create an account we store your name, email, password hash or social-login identifier (Google or X), company name (certified providers, certified contractors, certified haulers, and certified landscapers), Utah business license, contractor license, or CDL/USDOT as you typed them, phone, street and city when you give them, desk type, plan status, which public U3P bids a certified contractor chose to watch, UHSA job posts (title, detail, county, contact, street, photos, optional takeoff schedule), bid replies (amount, unit, phone, optional workbook), and UHSA job leads when you tap Call, open a bid form, or submit a bid. Markup percent on a workbook is stored with that bidder’s reply and is not shown to the poster or other crews. We also store session cookies or tokens so you stay signed in.
Orders
If you check out, we store the name and phone you typed, optional email, dump note, county, and the ticket (products and quantities). Guest orders are stored under a guest id. Philip Ely uses this to confirm stock. This is an order request, not a card charge.
Sparkles and public records
Sparkles records topic tags from desk questions (product, county, grading, delivery, conservancy) for UH&S owners to improve stock — not names, phones, or full messages. Site photos you upload for a takeoff or planning view are stored to produce that view and the ticket. A Sparkles takeoff you choose to use as a bid schedule is kept in this browser session until you post the job, then on that job as quantities and UHSA unit prices (no markup). Public-record briefs (soil, elevation, weather at a county or dump pin) may be kept on this device for about ten minutes so Sparkles does not re-fetch every tap. Product photos and map tiles may be cached on the Home Screen for speed; the app shell, FOB, bids, and your account are not. If you turn on Alerts we store a push endpoint for this device so UHSA can notify you of an awarded bid or a Clock punch. You can turn Alerts off in Account. When you name a county or dump pin, Sparkles may query USDA NRCS (soil), USGS (elevation and nearby streamflow), the National Weather Service, Open-Meteo, OpenStreetMap, and the U.S. Census. It may search the open web for Utah planning typicals. Those agencies and sites receive the coordinates or the search text of the lookup. That is not device GPS; we do not read your iPhone location in the background. Yard clock may store a single pin only when a driver turns on Share pin and taps a punch. We do not continuously track trucks.
How we use it
We use this information to authenticate you, apply membership and listing rules, publish certified-provider FOB when a listing is active, remember which U3P bids a certified contractor is watching, confirm UHSA order requests, run the yard clock (crew, punches, optional punch pins, load invoice status), subtract dumped yards from yard stock, keep contractor holds and pit-run status, show surplus posts to other certified members, list UHSA job posts and interest replies, store takeoff schedules and bid workbooks, record UHSA job leads (a call tap, opening a bid, or a bid submit on a posted job) for UH&S, contact you about inspection or billing, keep the site secure, and improve the desk. We do not sell your personal information. We do not run advertising or use an Apple advertising identifier. We do not publish a bidder’s markup percent.
What is public
The atlas shows quarry and yard locations compiled from public records and operator statements. Certified-provider names, phones, and posted FOB are public once that listing is active. Uncertified operator names may be masked until you sign in; additional (non-certified) names and estimated FOB stay masked until Compare desk or a certified listing. Signed-in members can see UHSA job titles, photos, site street, and poster contact on open public jobs; private jobs stay behind the invite code. Live bid amounts, bid unit prices, and bidder phones are not public — they stay with the poster. Markup percent is not public. Do not submit secrets in listing fields.
Security
We take ordinary care with accounts (hashed passwords or social login, session cookies, same-site checks). No system is 100% secure. We do not guarantee against unauthorized access, loss, or interruption. Do not store card numbers in UHSA. Turn Alerts off in Account if you do not want a push endpoint on this phone.
Sharing
We share data with the authentication providers you choose (Google, X) and with hosting/database vendors needed to run the app. Public-record lookups (soil, elevation, weather, streamflow, place) go to those U.S. agencies, Open-Meteo, and OpenStreetMap as described above. Web search for a planning typical goes to the search provider. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect UH&S, users, or the public.
iPhone Home Screen
You may add UHSA to the iPhone Home Screen from Safari (Share → Add to Home Screen). The app then opens full-screen. It still uses this same website, cookies, and these same terms. It is not a native App Store binary unless UH&S later publishes one. Adding it to the Home Screen does not grant UH&S extra device permissions.
Retention and deleting your account
Account records stay until you close the account in Account → Close account, or you call 385-888-7625 and ask us to delete it. We may keep a record longer when tax, payroll, a dispute, or law requires it. There is no automatic purge after a set number of years. Closing the account removes your membership row, UHSA orders on your user id, and U3P bid watches, anonymizes Sparkles topic tags (kept as “guest”), then you sign out. We do not delete: UHSA job posts and photos you made, bids you submitted, job leads, a Clock crew seat or punches on a yard that already ran, listing inspection forms, or a push endpoint until Alerts are turned off. Owner accounts cannot be closed in the app. Google or X accounts stay with those companies. Guest order requests stay under a guest id so the yard can fill the ticket.
Children
This atlas is for adults (18 and older) buying or selling materials and contracting services. We do collect account information from those adult users, as described above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a child has created an account, contact UH&S and we will delete it.
